Today's POP is Nina playing pinball on her iphone and listening to Azealia Banks…
J Dubs. London's Hottest Ticket.
Inspired by Sam Beckett's Quad's, a very cultured Jonathan Anderson spoke to us backstage after the show. And while we may have been briefly interrupted by Carine Roitfeld – who pulled the designer aside for a quick congratulatory pep talk – Anderson explained the very researched nature of his work.
"It wasn't necessarily his play that inspired me but more how his colours interact. Which was something very psychological. I like the repetitive motion of the subjects, and the idea of the nomad."
When asked why the sudden interruption of print within the consistently minimalist collection, Anderson said, "I wanted something cheap. Something that would interrupt. It's from a pinball machine actually. I wanted the print to jar the collection; take it off balance to keep my audience alive and awake."
