Today’s POP is Tui. It's the Margot effect.
In our final part of Christmas chats, we speak to girl du jour and POP contributor Margot Bowman.
Not only has Margot got a finger in every pie, be it designing a Kiehl's bottle or creating Christmas decoration for the entire Bethnal Green Town Hall Hotel, she is also the one third brainchild behind the pretty brilliant GIF project 15 Folds along with Jolyon Varley and Sean Frank.
Where are you spending Christmas this year and with who?
I'm spending it at my parents house, with my brother, my parents, my uncle, his wife, his kid, my cousins and their family. So it's going to be quite big, which is nice and noisy.
Normally it's quite a low key affair, because none of my family live in the UK, so I don't have any uncles or aunts or stuff like that. Also sometimes, like last Christmas we went to go and see my mum's family in New Zealand, which was amazing.
Do you have any Christmas traditions in your family?
I was thinking about this the other day, I don't really know if we have any traditions. I guess it's just the way shit goes down on Christmas day, but I wouldn't say we have anything specifically. Everybody wakes up, then we go upstairs, my mum starts making amazing food and I'm helping her. Then we open presents, get drunk and eat too much and then watch a shit film and then go to sleep. It's classic Christmas.
What do you wish for Christmas?
I really wanted one of those art cards that gets you into loads of galleries for free.
Also I need some new gym wear.
Is that part of your New Year resolution?
Well no, I go to the gym quite a lot because I live really really close. I live in Shoreditch, so I can just go to Shoreditch house in the morning. I'm happy to go to the gym. The shower is better than my shower. And I don't drink coffee so it's a really good way to wake up.
Looking back in 2012, what has been your favourite moment.
Aww there's been so many. One of my best friends got married in Tel Aviv in the summer and that was amazing. We all went to the Dead Sea together. That was really, really amazing. It's such a trippy experience and to be there with so many people that I love was just amazing.
Last thing, could you draw something for our POP readers?
