POP 733 Weekend 22-23 October 2011

Today's POP is Stephanie, itchin' to go on an exhibition spree.

Here's the latest in underground shows, from where else but Berlin…

POP and AH+ contributor Ronald Dick has teamed up with graphic designer Christophe Szpajdel for an exhibition at Berlin's

16

StudioKrimm entitled "Nostalgic Memory". Szpajdel, known for his death-metal logos, will display a selection of his repetoire together with Dick's photographs for an exploration in fashion and typography.

Through Szpajdel's selection, you can really see the art deco and nouveau influences of what he coins as ‘Depressiv Moderne’, while Dick's high contrast documentation of the black metal scene give the illustrations context.

Check out the space filled with graphics and projected installations if you're around. On from 21 October – 17 December.
