The SAATCHI Gallery celebrated the opening of a 5 day exhibition presented by NIKE and Arena HOMME+. Marking the 125th anniversary of Arsenal football club last night, the exhibition was movingly introduced by the very best Mr POP/AH+ himself: Ashley Heath.

Open to the public on 19th August, a collection curated by HOMME+ captured the passion of Arsenal through photographic explorations of the fans, players, Emirates stadium, and Arsenals training ground London Colney. The exhibition was attended by the best in art, fashion and sporting worlds including 2 of Arsenals first team squad Wojciech (Chesney) Szczesny, to the excitement of The Heaths (Ashley's nephew's favourite player) and Kieran Gibbs who seemed to take quite a liking to our fashion assistant Louby.

Photographic collective DoBeDo led by founding member Tyrone Lebon created the main gallery content which worked spectacularly well, especially the documentation of the far east tour. Lifelong Arsenal fan, Photographer Tung Walsh, added to the collection of photographs with his images of REDaction, a group of die-hard Arsenal fans who aim to bring noise, colour and atmosphere into the stadium. REDaction never sits down during games.

Ridley Scott Associates (RSA), a global film production company founded in London by brothers Ridley Scott and Tony Scott, has also created a short documentary that provides a deeply personal insight into the mindset of the Arsenal fans, to be showcased at the exhibition. Following 3 fans through 3 games in one month; 1 month in the life of an Arsenal fan. Set in London, the film follows Arsenal across the most important month of their 2010/11 campaign against Catalan giants Barcelona. The magic of the FA Cup taking the mighty Arsenal to minnows Leyton Orient and finally Arsenal battling for honours at Wembley.

The exhibition is completed by a beautiful (and free) art magazine by Jason Evans.

An overall great success and a must-see. A special congratulations must go to Ashley Heath, Max Pearmain and Rory McCartney, HOMME+'s very own, for putting it all together!
