POP 299 Wednesday 26 May 2010
Today's POP is Daniel, he's trying to touch Steve Mason's soul.
We like the former Beta Band singer's first album under his own name so much we decided to ask him about the important stuff, like what songs touch his soul.
What are your plans for tonight?
Doing interviews!
What did the last person who rang you want and who was it?
Jamie from the C90s who played live with me in Black Affair…he wanted me to take ketamine with him. I had just got comfortable watching Three in a Bed so I passed…
What was the last song that touched your soul?
Building a Bridge To Your Heart – Wax
And the last to make you dance?
Somebody Else’s Guy – Jocelyn Brown
Do you see Boys Outside as an album of despair or hope?
Hope.
In the sleeve notes we see a man falling. Do you feel you still are falling or might fall?
No, I feel quite steady on my feet.
If you were to do one cover live, which one would it be?
It would be Fingal's Cave by Mendelssohn.
INFO: Steve Mason's Boys Outside is out now. Have a look at the first single and video, Lost And Found.
