Today's POP is Daniel, slightly sore from trying out his military fitness app.

This week it was announced that Icelandic singer Björk and Italian composer

13

Ennio Morricone had won the

44

Polar Music Prize, a prize launched in Sweden with the intention of becoming the Nobel of music. Well, we'll see about that, but this year's winners are definitely favourites in many ways, so I wanted to celebrate them here at thepop.com with two quick selections.

First out, Mr Morricone. He's made so many great movie soundtracks, but one that made a huge impact on me is the theme to the Italian TV series La Piovra (The Octopus), a series about the Sicilian Mafia that ran over many years, and which you should try and find if you haven't seen it.

When it comes to Björk, she's made so many amazing albums and videos it's incredibly difficult to choose just one. So I decided to go with her latest one, Wanderlust, off Volta, which isn't her best album (Vespertine is), but the video shows she still churns out visually astounding material. This clip was directed by Encyclopedia Pictura and if you follow that link and happen to have a pair of 3D glasses lying around at home or at the office, yes, you can watch it in 3D. If not, just enjoy the 2D version here:
