Today’s Pop is Abby. She’s the main ingredient of any staple diet.

Ahh… Lisa Mitchell. You might not recognise this 19 year old by face yet but if you watch enough TV you’ll probably recognise her voice. Her song, Neopolitan Dreams, is the one on the Surf advert – you know, the one with the girl forward rolling under the sheets in a multi-matress giant bed? No? Well It’s actually worth a watch and the song is certainly worth a listen.

We headed to the Green Carnation in Soho last week to see Lisa showcase her album and she totally blew us away with her candy coated folk pop performance. We were surprised to find out that she’d actually began her career as a contestant on Australian POP Idol. But you wouldn’t know it – she has well and truly broken free from those pop kareoke shackles and now she’s wowing everyone with wistful melodies, kooky lyrics and a ridiculously cool individual vintage style. She’s pretty nice too. She found a bit of time to enjoy a glass of wine and a cupcake with us and even gave POP a tea towel she designed. We love you Lisa!
