Today’s POP is Ithai, who – by this post – just redeemed himself from getting turned away from a Moss, Wintour and Green dinner at The Ivy a few weeks ago. His reputation as the Belle Of The Ball is restored!
Forget the Oscars and forget the New York Costume Gala – the real celebrity packed event was the Browns Focus annual Halloween party that took place last night in Shepherd’s Bush. There certainly was an eclectic mix. Guests included the Queen and Prince Phillip, the Marshmallow Man, Patrick Bateman, Alice in Wonderland (with an authentic tea shaped hand bag), Sleeping Beauty (although she left the dwarfs behind), Andy Warhol and Anna Wintour. The efforts made by party goers were truly impressive and some were clearly practicing their make-up skills all week. There was an eerily blood-soaked bath and the main room was crammed with cut out pumpkins and a big indoor blow up tent that played host to a DJ (and I think a live band that I never quite got to see). Only the location was way past the edges of Notting Hill and made inhabitants of East London cringe.
