Today’s Pop is Tamara, Max and Dasha. Part two of our reflections from LFW SS10. Enjoy…

Tamara gave us her highlights:

Joanna Sykes managed to pull it off for her debut show as part of New Generation by using models of all ages, 18- 81 they worked perfectly in her minimalist, mannish tailoring, nude silk shirts with cut out panels, leather trousers, while drinking fine rose wine from Merry Widows. The forth season for sales for Sykes saw the launch of shoes too, ink suede, silver leather all detailed with cut outs. As soon as I can lay my hands on a pair of the silver leather trousers they WILL be my wardrobe staple.

Max’s high points:

MAN day veered between the great, the good and the ugly, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. On the catwalk Christopher Shannon and J.W Anderson shone. The production and casting was brilliant from both designers, imagine Le Haine meets that guy who used to go out with all the fit girls at school but now you think back wasn’t he more than a few years above you?), both designers clearly taking their collections up yet another level from last season.

Katy Eary was fresh faced and fun, sending gold skeletons with a heart skipping down the catwalk, and the ever talented Tim Soar proved it’s alright to be inside out (plus whilst wearing snakeskin and fire too).

Back in the vaults of Somerset House (they’ve gotta put the men somewhere) energy and fun reined supreme with a brilliant selection of instillations and presentations. Amongst some brilliant bits, Casley Hayford gets better EVERY season, Martine Rose makes the BEST shirts, New Power Studio (sorry, no stills, working on it!) showed a BRILLIANT film and Sibling gets more and more GLITTERY every time!
