Today’s Pop is Megan. She’s our wonderful, ever positive and equally beautiful editorial assistant. Nothing would get done without her. Except the coffee. She hates coffee…

As a follow-up to the

Acne Interview we did a couple of weeks ago, we decided fire off THEPOP.COM’s quick five to Lucas Ossendrijver, Lanvin’s mens designer. Although we didn’t ask anything about the Acne collaboration – it’s been discussed to death – we did pick his brain about his latest collection. It’s been said before, but to reiterate – Lanvin’s men’s show is of such importance even the yardstick of mens design, Thom Browne, paid a visit. Where is the tie in to Acne you ask? The campaign was shot at Acne Paper’s Magazine launch in Paris, on sight…

You seem to have introduced a bit of a harder look this season?

Yes, for a lot of seasons we have been exploring softness, and I think the softness is still in the clothes, but the image is more edgy.

And the inspiration for the collection?
We left the fashion laboratory we work in and went down onto the street – always a good source!

If you had to give us a theme, what would it be?
I’d say it’s about individualism and anti-uniform.

A hard one: could you name any favourites?
Lucas Ossendrijver: I don’t have just one favourite – they all make sense together!
