Francesco Bonami (the legend who curated the 50th Biennale). I used to go rowing here back in the day at the club of the Bucintoro. And, yes, it was here I fell from my boat into the canal.

 

- Enjoying the

Peter Saville /Anna Blessman piece in the latest Mousse magazine at the best ice cream parlour on the Zattere. Got to enjoy the home life of Playboy Peter (he’s the new Marc Jacobs model, don’tyaknow). Got to enjoy the afternoon sun glimmering off the ripples of the waves caressed by the Vaporetti on the Canale della Guidecca. Got to go for that Gianduiotto chocolate ice cream swamped by home-made whipped cream.

 

- Escaping all the Biennale madness by taking a trip to the Lido beach (for me, a walk across the street) and then a plunge into the lagoon to pick up sea shells of all shapes and sizes. You can’t ever beat that Visconti "Death In Venice" spirit. (Although a well-deserved freshly-chilled white peach Bellini at Harry’s Bar afterwards sure beats the Plague…)

 

- Bubbling under! Uber-excited about my own performance piece at the Unconditional Love Collateral Biannale show opening on the 3rd at 7pm at Arsenale Novissima 89.
